Talia Houser, OTR/L

Owner & Occupational Therapist

Talia is the founder and owner of Functional Playground Therapies. Born and raised in New Mexico, she has been practicing as an occupational therapist since 2016. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of settings, with the majority of her experience focused on serving children, adolescents, and their families. She is passionate about equipping children and families with the skills, tools, and confidence they need to thrive in everyday life.

Talia was drawn to pediatrics because she believes early intervention can play an important role in building lifelong independence and success. She particularly enjoys working with children with sensory processing, motor, and neurological differences and helping families better understand and support their child’s individual strengths and needs. Around the clinic, two of her favorite therapy tools are the compression swing and colored tape.

Outside of FPT, Talia enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. Together, they love traveling, exploring new places, and spending time outdoors.
